New York–based musician and multidisciplinary artist Tempers, blending synth-pop and dark-pop, will perform in Istanbul for the first time at Blind, presented by %100 Music, as part of the release of the new album Delusion.
Tempers’ fourth studio album, Delusion, explores themes of healing and transformation through a non-linear narrative. Throughout the record, Golestaneh examines the state of “delusion” shaped by desires, escapes, and cultural pressures—approaching it as a collection of survival strategies. The ten-track album creates a dreamlike atmosphere, drifting between storm clouds and solar flares.
Spanning a wide musical spectrum—from synth-pop to techno, grunge and post-punk references to epic ballads—Delusion stands as Tempers’ most cinematic and genre-crossing work to date. The album was co-produced by Jasmine Golestaneh and Jorge Elbrecht.
Beyond music, Delusion also stands out as a visual and conceptual project. The album features collaborations with leading figures from the contemporary art world, including Camille Henrot, Estelle Hoy, and Sandra Mujinga. The album artwork, composed of Golestaneh’s own collage works, is inspired by the idea of a “black swan event” (an unpredictable moment of rupture), expanding themes of perception, memory, and transformation into a visual realm.
First gaining attention in the underground scene with “Strange Harvest” from the 2015 album Services, Tempers moved toward a more introspective and experimental direction with Private Life (2019) and New Meaning (2022). Close ties with architecture, contemporary art, and performance—through museum and gallery performances, collaborations with The Vinyl Factory, and projects such as Junkspace with contributions from Rem Koolhaas—have continually pushed the boundaries of the project.
Since 2023, with Jasmine Golestaneh taking full creative leadership of Tempers, Delusion emerges as the project’s most personal and multi-layered statement to date. The album will be released on April 24, 2026, via Golestaneh’s own label fear of luxury, with distribution by Cascine / Secretly.
