%100 Metal proudly presents:
The legendary heavy/power metal band Savatage will give their first-ever Istanbul concert on July 19, 2026, at Zorlu PSM Turkcell Stage!
After breaking a long silence with their monumental comeback, Savatage will tour Europe in the summer of 2026 with their “Prelude To Madness” tour. Featuring 9 headline shows alongside numerous festival appearances, this special run will kick off in Istanbul on July 19, 2026—a performance that will go down in history as Savatage’s very first show in the city.
Following their triumphant return to European stages in 2025 after nearly two decades away, Savatage now sets out to once again prove their legendary legacy live. The Prelude To Madness tour will showcase a powerful setlist spanning classic anthems and deep-cut rarities, highlighting the band’s artistic energy and commanding stage presence.
Vocalist Zak Stevens shares his thoughts on the tour:
“Last year’s shows in South America and Europe were incredible. Now in 2026, we’ll be playing nine headline shows across Europe. Istanbul, Bucharest, Este, Warsaw, and Leipzig—each one will be a first for us. We’re also thrilled to share the stage again with our friends in Armored Saint, Vision Divine, and Nevermore. Playing in Istanbul has been a long-time dream for us.”
Founded in Tampa, Florida by brothers Jon and Criss Oliva, Savatage reshaped the course of metal history with genre-defining albums such as Hall of the Mountain King (1987) and Streets (1991). After the tragic loss of Criss Oliva in 1993, the band gave even deeper meaning to their musical journey with albums like Edge of Thorns and Dead Winter Dead (1995).
Today, Savatage takes the stage with a formidable lineup featuring Zak Stevens (vocals), Al Pitrelli and Chris Caffery (guitars), Johnny Lee Middleton (bass), and Jeff Plate (drums). Blending progressive, power, and classic hard rock elements, the band delivers their unmistakable style through electrifying live performances.
Since their historic reunion performance in front of 80,000 fans at Wacken Open Air in 2015, Savatage has continued their ascent toward the peak of their rebirth. The Istanbul date of the Prelude To Madness tour will mark both a historic first in the band’s nearly 50-year career and an unforgettable meeting for metal fans.
