%100 Metal Proudly Presents: Paradise Lost, pioneers of gothic metal and architects of melancholic sound, are coming to Ankara Milyon Performance Hall as part of their 2026 European Tour for the album Ascension!
One of the most influential and groundbreaking bands in metal history, Paradise Lost returns to Türkiye with Ascension, widely regarded as one of the most monumental works of their career. The band will take the stage in Ankara on November 16, 2026, at Milyon Performance Hall as part of their Türkiye tour.
The Peak of a 35-Year Legacy: Ascension
Formed in Halifax in 1988 and laying the foundations of an entire genre with their legendary 1991 album Gothic, Paradise Lost have sold over 2 million albums worldwide, becoming one of the biggest names in metal.
Evolving throughout their career—from their doom-death roots to the grand, mainstream-reaching sound of Draconian Times, and even exploring experimental electronic textures—the band once again cements their throne with Ascension, released in 2025.
Shaped by Gregor Mackintosh’s signature melancholic guitar melodies and Nick Holmes’ vocals—both savage and hauntingly clean—this new album stands as a reflection of the band’s 35-year journey.
“People should expect more sorrow from us,” says Nick Holmes, summarizing the album’s dark atmosphere, describing Ascension as a portrait of humanity’s struggle to rise—and the inevitable endings that come with it.
A Darkness That Expands on Stage
Described by critics as “a more majestic, colder, and more dignified masterpiece,” Ascension is not only powerful in the studio but grows even stronger live.
At the Türkiye shows, fans will experience the album’s most striking moments—from the thunderous riffs of Serpent on the Cross, to the unforgettable melodies of Silence Like The Grave, and the emotional peaks of Lay A Wreath Upon The World.
The Ankara concert won’t be limited to new material. Cult classics that shaped the genre—such as Say Just Words, As I Die, and One Second—will also take their place in this captivating darkness.
Get ready to lose yourself in the dark and rise with the purest form of musical melancholy.
